Exceptional Promise is the tier for earlier-career applicants who have demonstrated potential to become a leader in the coming years, typically with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience and a concrete trajectory of recognition. Each endorsing body publishes its own criteria for the two tiers, with weight on published work, prizes, funding, editorial roles, and peer recognition for research fields; on creative work, critical reception, and industry recognition for arts; and on technical contribution, equity ownership, and product impact for Digital Technology. Endorsement decisions take 3 to 8 weeks depending on body and volume, and are independent of UKVI processing. How do prize-winner exemptions work? Holders of certain prestige awards bypass endorsement and apply directly for a visa, per paragraph GT 5 of Appendix Global Talent on gov.uk.
