Business

TL;DR

Kael Tripton's KFI directory lists over 14,900 FCA-authorised financial services firms across the UK. Enhanced and Priority featured firm slots give regulated firms greater visibility, a dedicated profile page with expanded details, and a direct enquiry channel to prospective clients. Slots are available monthly with no long-term commitment required. All firms must be FCA-registered to qualify.

The Kael Tripton financial services directory (KFI) is an independently maintained index of regulated financial advisers, mortgage brokers, insurance brokers, and related firms across the UK. The directory is built on public Companies House and FCA register data and is used by consumers searching for local financial services providers. Featured firm slots allow FCA-authorised firms to upgrade their listing with additional information and enhanced placement within category and location search results.

This page explains what featured slots include, how eligibility works, pricing options, and the process for securing a listing upgrade. Only firms that are FCA-authorised or appointed representatives of FCA-authorised firms are eligible. Kael Tripton does not endorse any listed firm and does not receive referral fees for client enquiries.

Key facts (2026)

  • All firms in the KFI directory must hold FCA authorisation or be a named appointed representative of an FCA-authorised firm. Eligibility is verified against the FCA Register at the point of application.
  • KFI Enhanced listing: expands the standard entry with firm description, specialisms, service area, contact details, and a direct enquiry form. Monthly subscription with no minimum term.
  • KFI Priority listing: all Enhanced features plus category-top placement in relevant search results and a featured placement on the relevant hub page for your primary specialism.

Who the KFI directory is for

The KFI directory is designed for FCA-regulated financial services firms that want to increase their visibility among consumers actively searching for professional financial help in the UK. The directory covers five primary verticals: independent financial advisers (IFAs), mortgage brokers, insurance brokers, energy brokers, and business finance brokers. Standard (free) listings are automatically created for all firms meeting the Companies House and FCA data criteria. Featured listings are available on a subscription basis and provide significantly more profile information and placement advantages within category search results on kaeltripton.com.

What a standard listing includes

Every firm that meets the FCA authorisation and Companies House data criteria receives a standard listing in the KFI directory at no cost. A standard listing includes: the firm's registered name, Companies House registration number, registered address, FCA authorisation status, primary category, and a link to the FCA Register entry for verification. Standard listings appear in category and location search results but are ranked below Enhanced and Priority listings. Standard listings do not include a description, contact form, specialism tags, or service area information. They are intended as a discovery baseline rather than a marketing tool.

What a featured listing adds

An Enhanced or Priority featured listing upgrades the standard entry with: a firm description of up to 300 words written by the firm; specialism tags from a standardised list covering areas such as pension transfers, first-time buyer mortgages, commercial insurance, and invoice finance; a service area map showing the geographic areas covered; direct contact details including phone and email; a direct enquiry form allowing consumers to submit a query to the firm through the directory page; and a link to the firm's own website. Priority listings additionally receive placement at the top of the category search results for their primary specialism and location, and a featured card placement on the relevant hub guide page.

Eligibility and compliance requirements

To apply for a featured listing, the firm must: be currently FCA-authorised or a named appointed representative of an FCA-authorised firm; have no current enforcement action or permission restriction listed on the FCA Register; and have a valid Companies House registration (for firms incorporated in Great Britain or Northern Ireland). Kael Tripton verifies FCA authorisation status at the time of application and reserves the right to remove or suspend listings if a firm's FCA status changes. Firms are responsible for ensuring their listing information is accurate and does not constitute a financial promotion under FCA rules. Kael Tripton does not approve financial promotions on behalf of listed firms.

How to apply

To apply for an Enhanced or Priority featured listing, visit kaeltripton.com/index-your-firm/ and complete the application form with your firm's FRN (Financial Reference Number from the FCA Register), Companies House number, primary category, and contact details. Select the listing tier that suits your requirements and complete payment through the Zoho Billing secure checkout. Once payment is confirmed and FCA eligibility is verified, the enhanced profile is live within one business day. Firms can update their listing description and specialism tags at any time by contacting the directory team at support@kaeltripton.com.
