For most visa categories, applications from UK residents are managed through VFS Global or the Enjaz online portal rather than by visiting the embassy directly.

The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia is at 30 Charles Street, Mayfair, London W1J 5DZ. The nearest Underground station is Green Park (Jubilee, Victoria and Piccadilly lines). The embassy does not accept walk-in visa applications - all applications are processed through VFS Global or the online Enjaz system. General consular enquiries: +44 (0)20 7917 3000. Saudi Visa Options for UK Residents in 2026

British nationals and other eligible nationalities can obtain a Saudi tourist visa through three routes. The Saudi eVisa is available online through the Sharek platform (visa.visitsaudi.com) and grants a one-year multiple-entry visa with stays of up to 90 days per visit. The same visa is available on arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport (Jeddah), King Khalid International Airport (Riyadh) and other major Saudi entry points. For non-British nationals resident in the UK, the route depends on nationality. Many nationalities can obtain an eVisa or visa on arrival. Others must apply in advance through the Enjaz portal (enjaz.com.sa) or through VFS Global in London.

VFS Global Saudi Visa Application Centre

VFS Global manages Saudi visa applications on behalf of the Royal Embassy. The London application centre is at 66 Wilson Street, London EC2A 2BT (open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm). Applicants submit biometrics, documents and payment here. Appointments are booked through vfsglobal.com/saudiarabia/unitedkingdom.

Visa Types Processed

The embassy and VFS Global process a range of Saudi visa categories. Tourist visas (eVisa or sticker visa) for leisure travel and Umrah outside Ramadan. Umrah visas for pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina - these require sponsorship through a Ministry of Hajj-approved Umrah operator and are typically only available outside the Hajj season. Business visas for meetings, conferences or commercial activity. Work visas (iqama initiation) for those with confirmed employment offers from Saudi sponsors. Family visit visas for relatives of Saudi residents or nationals. Hajj visas are issued through authorised Hajj travel operators in the UK only.

Umrah Visa from the UK

UK residents wishing to perform Umrah must apply through a Ministry of Hajj and Umrah-approved Umrah operator. The operator handles the visa paperwork and hotel bookings in Mecca and Medina. Umrah visas are valid for 30 days from the date of entry. Independent Umrah applications (without an approved operator) are not accepted. A list of UK-approved Umrah operators is maintained by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj.

Visa Fees

Saudi tourist eVisa fees are currently SAR 300 (approximately £63) plus an insurance levy of SAR 140 for the duration of the stay. Fees for other visa categories vary - business and work visa fees are set by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and are detailed on the Enjaz portal. VFS Global service charges are additional to government fees.

Saudi National Consular Services

Saudi nationals living in the UK can access the following services at the embassy: Saudi passport renewals and replacements, national identity card services, civil registration, attestation and legalisation of documents, and registration of births and marriages abroad. These services require prior appointments booked through the embassy's online system.

Document Attestation and Legalisation

For UK documents intended for use in Saudi Arabia - such as educational certificates, company documents or personal status documents - the usual route is apostille from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) followed by authentication at the Saudi Embassy. The embassy attestation service requires an appointment and the relevant government fee.
