For press offices, comms teams and agencies

Send us the release. If it matters to UK households, we report it.

Kael Tripton is an independent, ICO-registered UK consumer publisher covering transport, energy, retail, personal finance, benefits and public services. Publication is an editorial decision and is never sold. Your quotes run verbatim, your images are credited and linked to your newsroom, and our analysis is labelled and kept separate from your text.

The newsroom decides what is covered. Nothing about that decision, its timing or its prominence can be bought.

Scope

What we cover

Announcements from UK public bodies and regulators (DfT, DWP, HMRC, CMA, FCA, Ofgem, UKHSA, local authorities), transport operators and airlines, energy and water companies, banks and insurers, retailers and consumer brands.

The test is one question: does it change what a UK household pays, receives, can claim or should know? If yes, it is news for our readers and we report it.

We do not run product puffery, investor-only announcements, or anything that requires us to recommend a regulated financial product.

Process

How your release is handled

01

Quotes

Reproduced as issued and attributed to the named spokesperson. We do not paraphrase a quote into something you did not say.

02

Images

Used only where your newsroom marks them for media use. Captioned as supplied, credited to your organisation, linked back to your media centre.

03

Facts and figures

Taken from the release and notes to editors with the primary source linked. Where we add data (regulator statistics, legislation, test standards) it is sourced.

04

Analysis

A labelled Kael Tripton section explains what the announcement does and does not change for consumers. It is ours and is never presented as your view.

05

Right of reply and corrections

We contact the press office on publication. One email is enough to correct a fact; we amend and note the change.

06

Embargoes and timing

Embargoes honoured to the minute. Releases are normally reported the same working day, then pushed to search and AI indexes and to our social channels.

Commercial formats, always labelled

Editorial is free. Presence is sold in three labelled formats.

Each is labelled on the page so readers can always tell editorial from paid content, in line with the UK Advertising Codes (CAP Code) on identifying marketing communications.

Paid for by [your brand]

Sponsored content

You control the message. Produced outside the newsroom, labelled at the top of the page, excluded from our news feeds and fact-check badge.

Desk sponsorship

You fund our coverage of a subject area: commuter rights, household energy, student money. Every article in that desk carries your name and links to our supporters page, which states that you have no say in what we publish or how.

Display advertising

Rate card on request

Rate card and media kit: advertise with us. All commercial work is invoiced by Kael Tripton Ltd. We do not sell placement inside regulated-product comparisons and we route no leads.
